KCF and KONE Thailand employees collaborated to support Zero-to-Hero and Huana School

Zero-to-Hero (Z2H) is a local charitable foundation serving underprivileged children in a rural community in Central Thailand. In partnership with Huana School, a rural school in the village of Na Yom, Phetchabun Province, Z2H provides active learning programs to support children’s learning and development. KONE Centennial Foundation has been supporting Z2H since 2017.

KONE Thailand has been supporting Z2H and Huana School since 2018. In 2021 and 2023, KONE Thailand employees and KCF made joint donations to help Z2H and Huana School purchase tablets and smart TVs to facilitate students' learning.

KONE Thailand employees also donated eduactional grames to Huana School.

Matching fund to support the Huana School

In January 2025, employees from KONE Thailand demonstrated their commitment to supporting underprivileged children by organising a successful fundraising campaign to support Huana School in the village of Na Yom in central Thailand.

KONE Thailand employees’ donations will enable Huana School to purchase new computers for its computer lab. The school’s computer lab currently has outdated equipment and limited availability. The new computers will significantly enhance students’ access to information and educational resources, as well as spark their interest in computer technology.

The fundraising campaign was initiated by a group of employees at KONE Thailand, and successfully motivated 39 employees, and collected 30,000 THB in donations. This campaign also awarded matching funds from KONE Centennial Foundation. As a result, a total 60,000 THB (850 EUR) contributions were donated to support the Huana School’s computer lab.

A school engagement event at Huana School

On January 23rd, 20 employees of KONE Thailand travelled five hours from Bangkok to Na Yom village for a special school engagement event at Huana School.

In collaboration with the Zero-to-Hero team, the KONE employees organized a range of fun and interactive activities for students at Huana School, including group games, dancing and singing performances, tree planting, dessert making, crafting with recycled materials, and a session on safety knowledge of using elevators and escalators. The activities were carefully planned to be both entertaining and educational. The Huana School students were enthusiastic throughout the event, actively participating in each activity and interacting with KONE employees.

During the event, the principal of Huana School, representing students and teachers, expressed sincere gratitude for the generous donations and for creating such an unforgettable experience for students.
