KCF Matching-fund Collaboration with KONE India Employees
Collecting presents for children living shelter homes in Chennai
KONE India employee representive and the Bhumi team visited a children’s home and distributed gifts to children.
At the end of 2025, employees from KONE offices in Chennai, India, organised a gift-giving campaign for children and youth living in local shelter homes. The campaign was in partnership with a local NGO Bhumi. The presents donated by KONE employees fulfil the underprivileged children’s New Year’s wishes for educational supplies, sport equipment and toys. The campaign was coordinated and facilitated by the KONE India CSR team.
This gift-giving campaign also awarded matching funds from the KONE Centennial Foundation (KCF). KCF matching funds doubled employees’ contributions. As a result, a total of 450 children and youth living in local shelter homes in Chennai received presents contributed by KONE India employees and KCF.
In January and February 2026, KONE India employee representive and the Bhumi team visited children’s homes, handing over the presents.
KONE Centennial Foundation (KCF) Matching Fund Program aims to encourage KONE employees to get together to support children and youth in need.
In previous years, KCF matching fund project has been awarded to KONE employees in Thailand and Finland for their initiatives to help underprivileged children in local communities.
