RISING STAR (INDIA)

Rising Star Outreach is a registered charitable organisation, founded in 2004 in Tamil Nadu, India. It is committed to improving the lives of people affected by leprosy, through educational, medical, socio-economic and developmental programs.

The Peery Matriculation School, operated by Rising Star, provides an education from kindergarten to 12th grade. Nearly 20% of students are children from surrounding villages. Quality educators provide students with a rigorous academic program that includes English, science, math, and computer technology. The 11th and 12th-grade students enjoy specialised tracks at a junior college to prepare them for higher education and a promising career.

KCF SUPPORT TO RISING STAR

KCF provided grants to support teachers’ salaries at the Peery Matriculation School in 2018, 2022, and 2023.

In 2021, KCF provided financial support to Rising Star’s crisis relief program in the leprosy colony, distributing food and essentials to vulnerable families impacted by the lockdowns.

In 2025, KCF provided a grant to Rising Star, supporting its Sewage Treatment Plant Renovation at the Peery Matriculation School campus.
